What signs do we need for a wedding?+
A welcome sign at the entrance and an order of the day are the two most common. Beyond that it depends on the venue: directions where the ceremony and reception are apart, and small signs for the bar, guest book, cards table or photo booth.
How many wedding signs do most couples order?+
Three to six is typical. Venues spread across several rooms or a large garden need more, because guests have to be guided between spaces. A single-room venue often needs only a welcome sign and an order of the day.
What size should wedding signs be?+
It depends on reading distance. Directional signs and the order of the day are read from a few feet away and need to be large; a small sign for a cards table or guest book can be much smaller and sit on the table itself.
When should wedding signs be ordered?+
Once the running order and venue layout are confirmed, usually a few weeks before the day. None of it depends on final guest numbers, so signage can be ordered earlier than the table stationery.
Can wedding signs be used outside?+
They can, in sheltered positions. Wind is the main difficulty for anything on an easel, and rain is the limit for printed card. Outdoor signs are usually weighted or placed under cover.
Should our signs match the rest of the wedding stationery?+
Most couples carry the same typeface and colours through from the invitations, so the signs guests read on the day look like part of the same set rather than something bought separately at the last minute.
